BUILD is one of the largest organizations at Texas A&M whose goal each year is to turn old, rusting 40ft shipping containers into fully functioning medical clinics to help service those in need across the globe. To understand more, please watch the promotional video above.

Through BUILD, I was given the opportunity to travel to Tecpán to visit one of our in-country medical clinics in the summer of '19.
We traveled to a foundation called El Fundación Educa Pueblo-Viejo, who received two of our clinics in 2016. We were able to see the clinics after 3 years of use and determine how to increase its longevity with the new clinics and understand how they are used.

During winter break of 2020, the BUILD team leaders and c-levels drove to Laredo to visit our 2017 clinic. We spoke with the men and women who worked to get our clinic and they are hoping to receive at least four more. We were able to see the communities that our clinics serve and understand why we continue to do BUILD and understand why all our hard work is worth it.
